Franklin's Industries offers Electrical Discharge Machining as one of our many services.

This method of cutting is ideal for intricate designs or for projects that require a very tight tolerance.

The EDM is capable of holding tolerances of up to +/- .0002 and creates a smooth, flat surface without burrs.

The process uses water, not cutting oils, to keep the material cool and clean.  An electrical current travels along a wire generating a spark which is used to cut the material while water flushes the cutting area to keep any debris from accumulating.

This process can be used to cut any conductive materials.

Franklin's Industries currently houses three Fanuc Wire EDM machines with an envelope of 11” tall x 11.800” x 17.700”.
